About me
I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. Art has always accompanied me, and as a self-taught artist, I learned by observing and analyzing the work of others.
I wanted to be a professional artist, but various circumstances prevented this from happening. It wasn’t until 20 years later that I returned to my true passion, which is painting. In 2017, I completed postgraduate art studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow.
For me, artistic creation is both work and play, discovery and experimentation, venturing into a magical world and embarking on a fascinating adventure. It stems from my inner, primal need to release feelings and emotions, which I can express most fully in this way. Making art is a path to freedom and fulfillment for me. My dream is to make art my main occupation in life.
In creation, I seek a connection between the world of imagination and the real world. For me, it is a means of discovering the truth about myself and the world, a search for my own identity, and a way of communicating with the environment. What matters most is directness and authenticity.
Vital for me is the role of intuition as an internal compass and signpost in making artistic decisions. The elements of surprise, absurdity, and nonsense are also of great importance to me. In my painting, I focus mainly on my own subjective experience of the world. The painting becomes a record of my impressions, thoughts, emotional and spiritual states. The creative process itself is essential; it evolves, and the action itself—the brushstroke—is the carrier of content. In this process, randomness plays a role, and a particular color conveys the right feelings.
For me, art has a transcendental dimension. It transports both the viewer and me, as an artist, into a world of ideas, feelings, and thoughts that evoke spiritual states I cannot present in any other way.
I love experimenting with painting materials, striving to achieve an effect that draws in and captivates the viewer. I combine various techniques and materials, going beyond the picture plane. I am also fascinated by the impact I can achieve not only by painting but also by destruction.
